MAS % calculation session
Based on 2km, 1.5km, and 1km Time Trial, A MAS (Maximal Aerobic Speed) assessment at The Sports Recovery Hub provides a simple, powerful way to measure how your aerobic fitness translates into real-world performance.
By identifying the fastest speed you can sustain aerobically, we can prescribe precise, individualised training intensities for running, conditioning, and return-to-sport programs. This removes guesswork and ensures every session is targeted to improve endurance, repeat effort capacity, and overall performance.
MAS testing is ideal for athletes across football, running, CrossFit and HYROX that may have been given generic % based programs, as well as those progressing from injury, allowing us to track improvements over time and confidently bridge the gap from rehab back to performance.

BFR for Injury Rehab and Performance training
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training at The Sports Recovery Hub is an evidence-based method used to accelerate strength, muscle growth, and recovery using low-load exercise. By applying specialised cuffs to partially restrict blood flow,
BFR creates a high training stimulus without the need for heavy weights, making it ideal for both performance enhancement and rehabilitation. This allows athletes to maintain or build strength while reducing joint stress, particularly during injury recovery or return-to-sport phases.
