Alexander “Zander” Eshak
Physiotherapist | Sports Injury & Lower Limb Rehabilitation
Alexander “Zander” Eshak is a physiotherapist with a strong interest in sports injuries, lower limb rehabilitation and helping active people return to the activities they enjoy. He completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne before earning a Master of Physiotherapy at RMIT University.
Having played soccer for more than 20 years, Zander understands the physical demands of training, competition and recovery. His firsthand sporting experience gives him valuable insight into the movement patterns and common injuries seen in soccer and Australian rules football, from grassroots participation through to competitive performance.
Zander works with athletes and active individuals experiencing muscular strains, ligament injuries and other lower limb concerns, including hip, groin, hamstring, knee, calf, ankle and foot injuries. He also supports patients through structured rehabilitation, strength development and a safe return to running, training and competition.
His patient-centred approach combines evidence-based exercise rehabilitation with hands-on manual therapy. Rather than focusing only on short-term symptom relief, Zander aims to identify the factors contributing to each injury, rebuild physical capacity and reduce the risk of recurrence. He provides patients with a clear understanding of their injury and a practical rehabilitation plan matched to their sport, goals and current level of performance.
Based at The Sports Recovery Hub in Keilor, Zander provides physiotherapy for patients from Keilor and surrounding communities, including Keilor East, Keilor Downs, Taylors Lakes, Airport West, Essendon and Melbourne’s north-west. He works closely with the clinic’s chiropractors, myotherapists, remedial massage therapists and exercise professionals to provide coordinated care from injury assessment through to rehabilitation and return to sport.
Whether you are managing a recent soccer or football injury, recovering from a lower limb strain or looking to return to sport with greater confidence, Zander will help you build a clear pathway from pain to capacity and performance.

What to Expect From Your Physiotherapy Appointment
Your initial appointment with Zander includes a detailed discussion about your injury, sporting demands and personal goals, followed by a thorough movement and physical assessment.
Based on his findings, Zander will explain what may be contributing to your symptoms and develop an individual rehabilitation plan. Treatment may include manual therapy, targeted exercise rehabilitation, strength training and practical advice around training loads and returning to sport.
With access to the rehabilitation gym at The Sports Recovery Hub, Zander can progress your recovery beyond the treatment room. This allows rehabilitation to closely reflect the running, jumping, kicking, change-of-direction and contact demands involved in soccer, AFL and other field sports.
Based in Keilor and supporting athletes throughout Melbourne’s north-west, Zander’s goal is not only to help you settle your injury, but to rebuild the strength, movement capacity and confidence needed to return to training and competition.
